The Hunt for Red October

1990 (135 min)

This is really a story about the Cold War, about the Russians, and about how some of the people from Russia would defect to the United States because of the freedom that's offered.

Richard Dreyfuss is one of the greats. He can do comedy, he can do drama, and I guess I must have seen this at some point on television.

Dirty Harry

So it's kind of interesting, what we're talking about with Solyndra and everything that we see this great example from 70's movies. Clint Eastwood is the model for how, you know, maybe we need to start behaving.

Judy

2019 (119 min)

This was one of those...it's my Oscar pick, I think it will win Oscar gold. Speaking of Rupert Goold, the director, it sort of makes sense that Goold begets gold and that's probably why they put them in charge.

I call it a spy-fi thriller, and it's got sort of a mix of everything. It's got a little horror, a little sci-fi, a little spy-fi, and almost a little bit of humor too from Will Smith.

The Addams Family

They took the original audio from the original Addams Family movie, which is a great Oscar winning movie, and they just drew over it and used the audio.

Mister America

2019 (89 min)

There isn't much I want to say about this except avoid at all costs. This is so full of mischaracterization, so full of lies, so full of, you know, you see in the movie that I specifically tell Josh what he can and can't use. Forget what I signed. There has to be a level of, uh, respect toward me that he just blew through.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Usually in the past you'd have two Woodys a year. And now we see that kind of slowing down. That happens with age. He could have dementia, he could have more serious elderly diseases. We don't know, and we're not getting a lot of info from the Woody camp.

5 Bags of Popcorn

Midway

Arctic Dogs

2019 (92 min)

It's almost like the movie we reviewed earlier, The Abominable Snowman, which was a great movie. And this is almost sort of like the unofficial sequel. It came out right away because, I think, of the success.

5 Bags of Popcorn
