Reviews By Tim Heidecker (244)
Lincoln
This movie is about Abe Lincoln, and it's about Civil War, and it's one of the great movies of all time in my opinion
Parental Guidance
They managed to combine family values with comedy in a way that I haven't seen since probably Monsters Inc.
Hyde Park on Hudson
It stars, surprisingly Bill Murray as President Obam - uhh - President Franklin D Roosevelt, uhh President Franklin Roosevelt. FDR, of course.
Pick!
Red Dawn
Lot of tension, lot of action, lot of great acting, and a lot of fun
Django Unchained
A western, with slaves in it. And very violent.
Skyfall
Another example of Bond doing what he does. Spying and what not.
Flight
This movie was phenomenal. It's got to be winner of Best Picture this year.
Pick!
Zero Dark Thirty
This was a very important documentary about this killing
Pick!
Jack Reacher
I am so glad to see Tom Cruise back in the mix
Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away
This is very much like going to see Cirque du Soleil except it's been filmed and shot and you can watch it like a movie
The Man with the Iron Fists
For a first time director it was unebelievable that he was able to get so much footage out of this and shoot so many great scenes.
The Frozen Ground
Uhh...4 bags of popcorn
Anna Karenina
It's a classic chick flick, I guess. Sometimes those movies are not great but this one is.
Pick!
Playing for Keeps
I thought it was really fun. It really took the edge off for me.
Life of Pi
I know you're thinking 'Mmm, dessert pie' but this is actually not the dessert, it's P-I, from math
Pick!
Monsters, Inc.
We usually don't do re-releases but this is a big one folks
Les Miserables
That's, uh, I also give that 5 popcorn bags
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2
You can tell they shot a lot of this stuff in the woods and in certain locations that really worked
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
If Michael Jackson is the king of pop, I'll say Peter Jackson is the king of movies
Pick!
Overboard
It actually is kind of cool with the VR you can get a sense of where...what I'm reading. It's sort of like this is a fully immersive experience.
Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero
It's not my kind of movie, but it checked off all the boxes in terms of length and for kids it's a good movie about patriotism and America honor
Pacific Rim: Uprising
This is a great Pacific Rim movie. This is essentially following through on the promises they delivered in the first episode.
Show Dogs
Anything else?
Tim did not rate this film
Avengers: Infinity War
I love these movies. I love the Marvel movies, with the superheros and Superman. And I love this movie, I think it's one of the best movies of the summer.
Sherlock Gnomes
This is a lot of fun. You have the great voice talents of Johnny Depp, and I love this movie.
Chappaquiddick
This is the story of Ted Kennedy, Lyin' Ted Kennedy, one of the worst rats in the history of politics
Solo: A Star Wars Story
What's the first movie on, on, in store? What's the first movie in store?
Tim did not rate this film
Ready Player One
This is based on the video game Ready Player One and this is a Stephen Spielberg joint. It's one of his best movies, I think, since E.T.
Deadpool 2
Gregg what do we have to look forward to in the cinemas this week?
Tim did not rate this film
Traffik
You can do the show, I don't give a shit. Have fun.
Tim did not rate this film
Breaking In
Basically a "watch out" story. A "be careful what you wish for" story, I suppose.
Tim did not rate this film
You Were Never Really Here
Is it his death trip or an awakening? That's the mystery, it's sort of like an old Sherlock Gnomes movie, uh, Sherlock Holmes movie where you have the mystery: what is 'You Were Never Really Here'?
Rampage
I loved this movie, it was a great action movie
Super Troopers 2
This was a Super Troopers movie, based on the original Super Troopers, and, uh, good movie. 5 bags of popcorn.
Life of the Party
This was a Melissa McCarthy comedy vehicle. A very funny one at that, and I think she's again proving herself to be sort of the John Belushi of the female gender in terms of outrageousness
Acrimony
Acrimony is up there for me as well. It was one of the best movies of the year. I predict an Oscar as well, that's an official Oscar pick
Pick!
Oblivion
I love this movie, I love Tom Cruise, I love sci-fi, and it was a lot of fun to watch this with my family.
Tim did not rate this film

Tim did not rate this film

I didn't get a chance to see this movie. We've been spending time saying goodbye.
Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor
I thought this movie was funny. Not my favorite kind of movie, to be honest with you.
The Incredible Burt Wonderstone
After I saw the movie I went to the Toys R' Us near our house and picked up a little beginner's magic kit
Side Effects
My point is that Side Effects and the whole idea of the medical industry and drugs and Obamacare and everything like that...this movie hit home
Dead Man Down
It's another great Colin Farrell movie. I feel like this guy doesn't know how to make bad movies.
Pick!

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters
I didn't get a chance to see this one
Elysium
This is too much of, like, a liberal thing for me. Because of Matt Damon.

This movie is worth seeing but it's disgusting and a disgrace to movies that [Gerard Butler] is not in it
Pacific Rim
I didn't care for this movie. I thought it was junk.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
This one WILL win the Oscar, alright? Let's not mess around with that anymore.
Pick!

Pick!

The Lego Movie
It's about Legos

It's a remake of Robocop
Tim did not rate this film

Walk of Shame
It reminds me of the old Jonny Cash movie 'Walk the Line'
Tim did not rate this film
The Nut Job
When I hear the voice of Katherine Heigl and Brandon Frasier it does remind me of who they are so maybe I was just daydreaming during the movie a little bit imagining those two together, romantically.
Tim did not rate this film
Lone Survivor
There's only one survivor, and guess what? It's not Bin Laden.

It's not as good of a movie as I would have liked, but I gotta hand it to the director for making a great film. I really liked it.
The Green Inferno
Didn't see it, don't care. It's crap. Eli Roth. It's a bunch of junk.
Tim did not rate this film

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
It's great to see The Turtles back on the big screen. I know it was one of my favorite shows growing up.
Tammy

Insurgent
I liked this movie a lot. It was an action film that I enjoyed watching, and I'm glad that I got a chance to see it.

I liked this movie a lot. It was a lot of good intrigue, and sort of adventure.
The Lazarus Effect
This was a thriller and a fun movie to sort of get to play one of those "what if" games. What if Frankenstein came back to life? Almost like a horror movie.
Woman in Gold
Something I learned from Values.com was to check in with your emotions every once and a while and don't be afraid to cry, even grown men can cry. And I certainly did during Woman in Gold.

Home
If I don't have time for Get Hard I certainly don't have time for this
McFarland, USA
I like Kevin Costner of course, as always. This isn't your typical Kevin Costner movie becuase of some of the dramatic themes, but it is about sports.

Furious 7
Lucky 7 because this was lucky enough to be one of my favorite movies of the year. It was full of adventure and action and high-speed car chases.

Pan
Finally you get that origin story that we've all been waiting for, which is "where did Peter Pan come from?"

I shame the studios and everybody involved for allowing real trash to come out and deceive the wonderful film-going audience that expects more quality than that. Shame on you and shame on every person involved with the film including the actors, even the small parts.

Bridget Jones's Baby
This is a chick flick, there's no doubt about it. It's for the ladies. Me and Juliana checked it out a couple nights ago. We had a good time with it, we kind of used it as an excuse to fool around.

It's really interesting to see them take the story to new heights and go where no man has gone before

They also were able to get enough skin out of the situation to fix this hand, perfectly back to normal. This they're saying has sort of been so damaged by the fire down to the core bone structure of my hand that it's basically a useless...there's no point in fixing this hand. So that hand...forget about that hand.

Driving Miss Daisy
Dan Aykroyd, who you know from Saturday Night Live and Blue's Brothers and all kinds of other comedies, appears in this movie and plays it pretty straight.
Tim did not rate this film

If you love '12 Angry Men' jump on Amazon and pick it up. If you haven't seen it before don't jump into the deep end and buy it because it might not be the movie for you.

Mister America
There isn't much I want to say about this except avoid at all costs. This is so full of mischaracterization, so full of lies, so full of, you know, you see in the movie that I specifically tell Josh what he can and can't use. Forget what I signed. There has to be a level of, uh, respect toward me that he just blew through.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
This is the movie people should be running out to see. It's another Disney classic and it's got a lot of interesting story elements to it. Everybody go to see that, don't go to see Mister America.
Terminator: Dark Fate
We are thrilled to have Terminator back and I feel like this is just the start of something new with him. As Arnold Schwarzenegger begins his road back to the movies.
Pick!
Motherless Brooklyn
Usually in the past you'd have two Woodys a year. And now we see that kind of slowing down. That happens with age. He could have dementia, he could have more serious elderly diseases. We don't know, and we're not getting a lot of info from the Woody camp.
Midway
It's interesting to see Woody Harrelson - not Woody Allen - in this one. And...not a lot more to say except, you know, this reminds me of those....5 bags of popcorn
Arctic Dogs
It's almost like the movie we reviewed earlier, The Abominable Snowman, which was a great movie. And this is almost sort of like the unofficial sequel. It came out right away because, I think, of the success.
